Under the new citizenship program, Malta grants passport to foreign investors (after 12 months) under the following conditions (1+2+3):
1. NDF Donation
EUR 650,000 non-refundable donation to National Development and Social Fund (NDSF)
2. Housing in Malta
Purchase a Real Estate worth EUR 350,000 and hold for atleast 5 years in Malta (or) Rent a property by paying atleast EUR 16,000/year rent for 5 years.
3. Government Bonds
Buy atleast EUR 150,000 worth of Government bonds.
4. Additional costs
Government fee + Lawyer fee + Due Diligence fee
The total all inclusive costs (Govt fee + Due diligence + Lawyer fee etc) for one person should come around approx EUR 900,000. Additional costs apply for dependents and family members.
Malta program is only limited to 1800 applications on first come first serve basis, after that the program will be permanently closed. We estimate this program will be closed approx by the end of 2016 when the cap is reached.
If you are a citizen of Iran, Afghanistan, North Korea, Iraq, it is not possible to apply for Malta.
